Yup, I shirked off my study-for-finals time just so I can finish this in time for tomorrow's errands
So you BETTER get a fullview of this, alright? I was even reluctant to put a watermark on this, it was so pretty, but it's there, nonetheless.
I did an ink sketch version of this for submission to the AnthroCon's convention book; even though I won't be able to attend there physically -- my agent will hang my artwork at the art show for me -- at least I was able to submit SOMETHING for the con book...
But after that, I wanted to expand on that via computer. I tried to do it in Illustrator at first, but I'm way out of league to do anything that advanced onnit (I'm only a beginner), so Photoshop won over me.
Five weeks later and an entire afternoon of fretting over my computer's health today (had it on 600dpi, so I shrunk it to about 300-400 for memoryssake), I have this to share. This is the CMYK-converted version intended for print; I went with this instead of the original RGB one because I thought it was a very nice subtle shade of yellow to it.
As tempting as it is to have advanced critique encouraged for this, I only wish to seek for regular comments for the time being... But I am curious to know about the balance of colors, primarily whether they're unified under a similar shade of green (HSB and CMYK balance options used).
For the record, this is Miyume the Muse, my OC muse.

Hey, so far as I can see, all the shades are in order - her eyes are a yellower green than the foliage around her, but it goes better with her fur than a darker shade would. even her fur has a slight green tint near her head, so I'd say the colours you chose were pretty darn good.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This contest ends on Friday the 18th December 2009. If you want to enter, get your entries in quick! Here are all the entries so far. Also if you want to donate a prize, that would be fantastic too, just note me
