FULLVIEW OR DIE -- I DON'T ASK FOR MUCH

I was tempted to save this for later (since I wanted to work some more on my other digital dabblings for a while), and I wasn't so sure if I wanted to submit this on account that everybody knows Kai-Kai's awesome style (you are everything to me, my golden ottsel goddess with a marker :giggle:), aaaaand the background wasn't mine to begin with, it's resource image from over here, so much credit for `hameed for the stock... Oh, and credit to ~MajorHavoc for the starflares, which is no longer featured on his gallery due to political reasons on DA last year *sigh*...

But somethin' came up in the real world that hit me what I HOPE wouldn't happen to me every freakin' summer/2D class I go through, so this'll be the last update for a while, I think. I like to leave up something nice for a while, and I think this is fine for now. Gods, I hate summer depression :dohtwo:

Anyway, Kai sent me the sketch version of her Poofy Lombax Tail for me birthday, since I already got both of her colored originals (Ratchet-fanatic, I be :blush:), and I asked if I could do a Photoshop version of it (I just adore working on Kai's sketches, it's so fantastic!). I've been working on and off it, during particular up times and down times throughout the months. I think I like doing collab works like this when I'm uninspired to do my own crap... or need to get back into gear... or keep me mind occupied while I was scanning/listening to my mp3 files to hear which ones were damaged in the hard drive crash last month ^^; I'm awful, I know, but this has been a lot of fun.

Watermarked for obvious reasons; I don't want that nameless jerk to steal one of my images for Insomniac's fanart community site again, ESPECIALLY Kai's own work :paranoid:

Now that's awesome- I was just thinking yesterday how hard those p00fy tails are to draw, and you manage it perfectly! :clap: The nebula in the background is especially awesome- how do you do that? Is it some kind of brush, or pure artistic talent? :confused:

You did a great job with the coloring! It's very cute and fits Kai's style very well in my opinion! And I think you made an excellent choice in the stock picture background! It reflects a lot of the color of the focal points! :D

Oh my GAWD!

I swear, my jaw HIT the ground when I saw this the other day! Sadly, I've been at class all week (and jumping online when I should be animating, mind you) so I kept seeing this in my inbox and twitched away "guh...MUST...comment!"

Thankfully, Friday night means free time to do just that! ^^

I still LOVE the whip - so very obvious to see why you're dead proud of that thing. ^^ And you made it the flame colour rather than the blue...kwee. ^^
The stock background too was such a brilliant choice! :3 I love how it compliments Ratchet so well...and the theme of the games too. Brilliant stuff (I must say, it is lovely stock <3)

But onto Ratchet!

The colours are so wonderfully SMOOTH - very befitting considering how much armor he's wearing. Love the shines on his chest plating and on the joints of the fingers byt my BIGGEST joy is over his helmut and viser. Not only shiny, but the way you made the viser a wonderful tranparent blue! And the shine in his eye too (MUST refrain from the 'glint in his eye' jokes). :giggle:

Ontop of this, I must say - I love how smooth you ended up doing the inks. Hmmm...yes...very smooth and wonderfully weighted!

And the TAIL POOF!!!! (poofy, poof, p000000000f!) The inking and the colour shades and...awwwwwww, man! The whole tail p00f just blows me away.

You've done such a marvelous job with this, hon! It's puts any and ALL of my previous ones on it to shame. Beautiful work. :3

The Nebula is stock image, actually. I could probably do one, but only in my style, andf it's kinda... lacking, I usually think (hence the search for ref images).
