Did this in its entirety (whatever that means) while finishing/listening to the 7th Potter book well into 15 minutes before 11 pm. Yet another original sketch =Jakxter asked me to color in my spare time, yet been puttin' it off because of slow preparation for the greatest air-brush technique laid before!... eh heh heh
Originally, as I said, I wanted to do it air-brush like -- yes, again. But in a different approach, one I was sure I'd be comfortable with. It seemed okay at first, if you could look over here, but I personally think I could do better. However, I backed out again I'm still a bit shy trying out the very uncomfortable to me... that is air brush technique. (I know I did it successfully once or twice in the past, but I'm having a hard time remembering WHICH method I used, if any, that worked well for me.)
I thought I'd use the basic steps I've done before with recent works, but then I got carried away with pseudo-air-brush cel-shading again.
Otherwise, I like the progressions I've made, somewhat. There are some blue back lighting added to Jak Ottsel, but the watermark is kinda making it hard to see, I know (neccessary evil, I'm afraid). I'm gleeful about it, though; I like how it showed somewhat, and I might go a little further -- use it more properly than wistfully -- with it on my next piece...
I dunno why it's blue like that, other than what I dictated the background to be. It's cold-lookin' as Mother pointed. I don't mind, though; I like blue a whole lot
EDIT: Finally did the eyes... and much more unintentionally I was keeping myself busy again, while waiting for dad to come home so I can play more R&G for him, so I though I'd add some textures, hand-made- and stock-wise. Turned out better than I thought it would.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
